I’m Joi. I went through several years of knowing there was something wrong, and not finding anyone who could tell me what it was. I went from doctor to doctor and could never get a straight answer.
I took matters into my own hands, made some changes to my diet and found out I had Candida Related Complex. It gets misdiagnosed all the time, which is why it took me so long to finally find out what it was.
In 2008, on March 7th, I began the Attogram program to heal from CRC. It required me to go without sugar, in any form, for at least 15 months. Before that, the longest I had been without sugar was a week! I had no idea how I was going to make it, but my health was more important to me. So on that day, I said no to sugar and yes to my health. I started this blog as a way to focus on the foods that I could eat, instead of whining about the foods I couldn’t have.
It’s been close to two years and I have survived, actually thrived, without sugar. Though I’ve been on the Attogram program for a while, I still have more healing to do. So I continue to make as many sugar free treats as I can.

Hi Joi,
I just wanted to let you know that your blog has been a godsend for me! I have struggled with candida for many years, but only knowingly for a few. I too follow the Attogram protocol (essentially) but I have had a lot of trouble sticking to it and had become especially discouraged by my limitations as of late. But lo and behold, I stumble across your beautiful blog and AMAZING recipes and my faith has been restored! Keep it up!

Great blog. It’s nice that someone is sharing their fight their to regain good health.
I’m a month into Stage 1 of the CRC diet. It hasn’t been easy but I’m plugging along. My syptoms are moderate but I want to get them under control before things get worse.
Thanks for sharing your experience.
Hey LaShon,
I’m glad you like the site. Hang in there! It does get easier. Let me know if you have any questions about anything.
