Sesame Crispy Treats

Texture wise, these are the closest thing I’ve come to rice crispy treats. I wanted to make my candied seeds treat one day, and I was out of pumpkin and sunflower seeds. I had plenty of sesame seeds though. Even though I’ve made different kinds of grain based bars, sesame seeds just have a better mouthfeel to me.
Nothing fancy, just make a seed swap and add or subtract the spices. I used vanilla powder. Don’t worry if you don’t have this. You can use whatever sugar free vanilla extract that you like.

Those look wonderful. Over July 4th, I watched my family eat rice krispy treats and wanted one so bad I could taste it. I am going to have to give this a try. I haven’t tried the yacon syrup yet and this will be a good thing to try it on. Terry
Wow sesame seeds. In china, they have “buchi”. It’s rice cake covered with sesame seeds and it looks just like that in your picture but in ball shapes. =)
I hope you won’t mind, I really like your photo of sesame crispy treats and I uploaded it in Foodista. I put your blog site for references too. It is here: http://www.foodista.com/food/4LDFVV4M/sesame-seed . You can also add the foodista widget to the end of this post so it will appear in the Foodista pages and it’s all set, Thanks!
Thank you Christine! It’s no problem. Now, I’ll go poke around the Foodista site.
EREWHON Gluten Free Crispy Brown Rice Cereal: has less than one gram of sugar. It uses brown rice syrup. Maybe you could handle it? Maybe do a mix of sesame and the cereal?
Love in Christ,

That may be doable, but only as an occasional treat. I’ll have to see if I can find that brand.
